What it is
Physiotherapy at muve is the assessment and treatment of muscle, joint, tendon and ligament problems by HCPC-registered physiotherapists.
Treatment may include: exercise therapy, manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, advice on load and activity, and a written home programme.
Who it is for
People commonly use our physiotherapy services for: back and neck pain; shoulder, hip, knee and ankle pain; sports and running injuries; tendon problems; stiffness and reduced mobility; recovery after injury or surgery, working within your surgeon's guidance.
What happens in a session
Your initial assessment: we discuss your history and goals, assess how you move, your strength and your function, explain what we find in plain English, begin treatment where appropriate and agree a plan you can follow at home.
Follow-up sessions: treatment, progression of your exercises, and a check of progress against the goals we agreed.
How many sessions people usually need
The number of sessions depends on your goals, assessment findings and progress. Your physiotherapist will discuss a plan with you and review it as treatment progresses.
